What is RumiTech?
Rumitech is a blend of natural essential oils.
How does it work?
Very simply, RumiTech works by altering which rumen microbes (bugs) thrive. This means the rumen ends up with more bugs which are good at digesting fibre, so more energy is gained from the feed.
Why should I use it?
Our trial results have shown feed conversion ration to be improved by 10% when animals were supplemented with RumiTech. This reduced the cost of production, as animals ate less feed to gain the same liveweight or to produce the same litres of milk.
A recent trial with beef cattle showed RumiTech altered the lean to fat ratio and animals fed RumiTech had an increase in loin eye muscle area. It’s also worth mentioning that we saw performance benefits even in exceptionally high performing finishing cattle.
Another recent trial involved feeding Rumitech to dairy cows. A group fed Rumitech were able to produce the same amount of milk as a control group with a lower dry matter intake on the same diet.
What’s unique about it?

A key unique feature of Rumitech is that the rumen doesn’t re-adapt. Long term trials with RumiTech have shown the rumen bugs aren’t able to convert back, meaning the results are long lasting. This is unique to RumiTech.
When should I use it?
RumiTech can be fed to cattle and sheep at any stage of production and incorporated into any diet: grazing, forage based rations or ad-lib cereal systems. It can also be used in pedigree cattle and sheep diets to enhance loin eye muscle area and promote feed efficiency.

How much does it cost?
Typically less than 2 pence per head per day when included in finishing cattle minerals or concentrates. Or 4 pence per head for milking cows*. Even better, experience of feeding RumiTech on farm tells us that because feed efficiency is improved, overall margin is improved also.
