Harbro does not collect any data from the Window 8 Store Harbro Price Lists app. The app only reads data from the Harbro server and this data is read-only. No data is sent back to the Harbro server and the data cannot be modified in the app.

The app does store data in your Windows account local and roaming storage, but this data is only accessible to your Windows account and otherwise not accessible to Harbro.

To view any price list data in the app you need to have an account on the Harbro server and be assigned to one or more sales bandings. If you don’t have an account on the Harbro server or are not assigned to any sales bandings you will not be able to view any price list data in the app.

The app saves price list data in your Windows account local storage for offline use of the app. When online the app will periodically synchronise this data from the Harbro server.

Other app settings stored in your Windows account local and roaming storage are your selected sales banding and your favourites.

By default the app will connect to the Harbro server using the default url using Enterprise Authentication (i.e. your Windows account default credentials. The app itself cannot read the password of your Windows account default credentials). In the App Settings Connection Settings you can specify an alternative url and / or custom credentials. The alternative url and custom user name will be stored in the Windows account roaming settings. The custom password is securely stored in the Windows 8 Credential Manager Password Vault against the url and user name. SharePoint logs all HTTP requests from the Windows 8 Store Harbro Price Lists app, which will contain the user's ip address and when successfully authenticated the user name.
