With many years spent in agriculture and 18 months as part of the Harbro sales team, Ellen brings hands-on experience and a deep understanding of livestock farming to customers across the Midlands and beyond. Coming from a family with a long history of working in sheep farming, Ellen now runs her own flock of Bluefaced Leicesters and has worked on farms across the UK, Ireland, and Norway. She’s also a qualified Registered Animal Medicines Advisor (RAMA), giving her a solid technical foundation to back up her practical insights. 

Ellen’s favourite part of the job? “Definitely getting out on farm and hearing how different systems work. Every farm’s unique, and I love working out how we can help – whether that’s through tailored TMRs, pedigree feeds, grain treatment, or using our mobile mill and mix service. I also really enjoy visiting markets and shows – it’s great to catch up with customers and see what’s happening in the industry.” 

Ellen often recommends our Super Bruiser Service – a fast, efficient solution for bruising cereals on-farm or for Maxammon and Prograin treatment. “It can process up to 40 tonnes an hour,” says Ellen, “so it’s a great time-saver and helps reduce labour costs for the customer.” 

When it comes to customer favourites, Ellen says Champion Rumitech 35 and Buchan Bull 55 are top of the list. “They’re ideal for mixing with home-grown cereals for growing and finishing cattle. They’ve got great protein levels, are soya-free, and include RumiTech for better feed efficiency – I see fantastic results in daily liveweight gains.” 

Outside of work, Ellen is just as active – whether she’s looking after her sheep, riding her horses, or heading off on her next travel adventure.
